Lumen Print

Light-based prints include photographic processes grounded in the direct action of light on photosensitive surfaces, often without the use of a traditional camera. Cyanotype, lumen prints, chlorophyll prints, and images made with pinhole cameras on paper share an approach in which exposure, contact, and duration become central elements of the process.
Within these practices, the image forms slowly, as the result of a relationship between light and matter, retaining a degree of unpredictability tied to time and environmental conditions.
