ATLAS

Polaroid Decay serie 2025
Atlas is a project that brings together a selection of works produced in the darkroom using the chemigram technique. Photographic paper exposed with an enlarger, without a negative, is treated with chemical substances that react during development.
The project investigates formal correspondences between what appears at a microscopic level and configurations observable from a great distance, such as in aerial or satellite views, establishing a relationship between biological structures and territorial morphologies.
IMAGINARY GEOGRAPHIES
In this section, images take on the appearance of satellite maps of nonexistent territories.
Watercourses, coastlines, and landforms emerge spontaneously from chemical reactions, constructing cartographies that, although lacking a real reference, retain an internal coherence akin to the logic of geology and hydrography.
MICROSCOPIES
This series focuses on forms that recall microscopic observation: fibres, cellular networks, DNA filaments, protein chains, and bacterial cultures.
These are not documentary images, but ones that generate a hypothetical atlas of morphologies inspired by molecular biology.
